Photo: Tracks in the snow

Look at those tracks in the snow, originally uploaded by Extended sojourn.

While hiking across Yellowknife to shoot this photo, I was thinking about the Christmas Kate and I were in Taiwan; the only other time either of us spent the season away from our family. I didn't mention it in my column below, but upon further consideration, I believe I should have.

This is more to recognize David May - a man who truly taught me the importance of keeping track of what's happening in the world - than anything else.

If he ever posts the video of the hilarious turkey he cooked on the big day in Taiwan, I'll be sure to post it here.
